Spring Lookbook: Shades of Cool

I am Wearing: TJ Maxx Top | Anne Taylor Scallop Skirt | Old Navy Loafers
Jordan is Wearing: Free People Top | DL Denim Bell Bottoms | Topshop Sandals | Thrifted Necklace
Spring has sprung (finally)! To celebrate, I dressed up my adorable friends (Stefanie and Jordan) and we shot a Spring look book in Central Park! I also celebrated by permanently retiring my wool pea coat! Even if this warmer weather decides to be flippant, I refuse to wear it again until next winter.
Since my winter coats have gone into hibernation, I set out to the streets of Soho to find lighter and cuter replacements. To my surprise I struck gold in Levi's with a super adorable jean jacket (pictured above on Stefanie). Jean jackets have always been a Spring staple, but I feel their presence more heavily than ever this season. The seventies trend that is sweeping the globe is definitely influencing this sudden denim craze.
As I said, not only is the Seventies trend bringing back denim jackets but it is popularizing all sorts of denim goodies. For example the adorable bell bottoms Jordan is sporting. I never thought in a million years I would be buying a pair of bell bottoms, but here I am with these D.L. pair hanging in my closet! And you know what? I love my bell bottoms (also never thought I would say that).
Adding to the denim, Stefanie is wearing a mint denim skirt from American Apparel (who else caught that crazy 90% off sale they had?!?). I love the shade of this skirt, it makes pairing it with other denim super easy.
So all in all, I predict this Spring season to be full of light-wash denim, cool colors, and Seventies inspired everything. Go snatch your bell-bottoms and round sunnies while you still can!
Peace out ✌
